Google User Data
This section specifically addresses how IdealData accesses, uses, stores, retains, and deletes data obtained through Google APIs, in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What Google user data we collect
When you connect your Google account to IdealData, our application accesses the following Google user data through Google's OAuth 2.0 authorization flow, with your explicit consent:
- Google Search Console data (read-only): search performance metrics, query data, page-level performance, indexing status, and other site performance information for properties you authorize.
- Google Analytics data (read-only): traffic, audience, acquisition, behavior, and conversion metrics for properties you authorize.
- OAuth tokens: access and refresh tokens issued by Google to enable the connection. These are stored encrypted at rest.
- Basic Google account profile information (email address and name) needed to identify the connected account.
How we use Google user data
We use Google user data solely to provide and improve the user-facing features of IdealData. Specifically, we use this data to:
- Generate real-time business signals and alerts (such as traffic anomalies, search performance changes, and conversion trends) and deliver them to you via Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, or SMS through our Iris messenger.
- Display reports, dashboards, and historical trends within the IdealData platform.
- Enrich and contextualize eCommerce signals with search and analytics data.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, credit-worthiness or lending decisions, or to train, develop, or improve generalized AI/ML models. We do not sell Google user data, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as described below or as required by law.
How we share Google user data
We do not share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to third parties for purposes other than providing the IdealData service. Google user data is only accessible to authorized TechNWeb, Inc. personnel (engineers and operations staff) on a need-to-know basis to operate, maintain, and support the platform. We may disclose data only when required to do so by law or valid legal process.
Where we store Google user data
Google user data is stored within our managed infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and MongoDB Atlas, located in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. OAuth tokens are stored using additional encryption.
Data retention
We retain Google user data for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy:
- Active accounts: While your IdealData account is active and your Google account remains connected, we retain Google user data so that we can deliver the signals, alerts, and historical reporting features you have subscribed to.
- After disconnection or account cancellation: If you disconnect your Google account from IdealData or cancel your IdealData account, we will delete the associated Google user data, including cached data and OAuth tokens, within ninety (90) days.
- Legal exceptions: We may retain limited data for a longer period only where required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
When the retention period expires for a given type of data, we delete or anonymize it.
Data deletion and your rights
You may revoke IdealData's access to your Google account at any time. You can do this either by:

Connected AI assistants and applications
You may choose to connect IdealData to a third-party AI assistant or application, such as an AI chat product that supports connected data sources. When you do:
- Access is read-only. A connected application can read data from your IdealData account. It cannot create, change, or delete anything.
- Access is limited to the single permission
data:read. No permission that allows writing is offered or issued. - Only users with the Owner or Administrator role on your IdealData account can authorize a connection.
- Data read through a connection is handled by the third-party application under that application’s own privacy policy and terms, which we do not control. Review them before connecting.
